At Barrel Inn, our commitment to improving accessibility for all is part of an ongoing journey. Our mission is to provide the perfect space to eat, drink, sleep, and celebrate right in the heart of the Peak District.

The Barrel Inn, built in 1597, is situated at the head of Bretton Clough on the table of land, some 1300 feet above sea level. And as you can imagine a building of this age provides its own limitations of what we can achieve.

Despite this we have done our best to ensure everyone can enjoy their visit to this fantastic location.

We acknowledge our need to keep on our journey to improve accessibility for all. We are committed to ensuring accessibility for all our guests and continually strive to improve everyone’s experience while working to apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Parking

The car park can accommodate over 30 vehicles, with access to the pub all on ground floor right next to the building itself off a quiet B road a short journey from Eyam itself.

Mobility

The main entrance of the The Barrel Inn is at the front of the building, all of the restaurant and pub is on ground level, with no requirement for ramp or lift access along with one of our five guest rooms.

Facilities

Out of our five rooms we have one accessible room on the ground floor equipped with a standing shower, entered via a small raise into the shower tray itself. Along with a disabled accessible toilet within the main pub itself.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of The Barrel Inn, there may be some limitations though not without possible solutions as well. For example, the main entrance to the building is not yet automated and during poor weather may be closed for the comfort of all guests. How ever there is always a member of staff to hand to help assist in opening and navigating their way.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to get in contact and we will be happy to answer any questions.

Feedback

We welcome feedback on how we could further improve our accessibility for all customers. Please let us know if you encounter any problems barriers by emailing us at info@BarrelInn.co.uk or calling 01433 630856.
